Parking Permits

Virtually the entire Village is restricted to 2-hour parking (with some 1-hour parking areas). Residents may obtain PARKING PERMITS to allow you to park over the posted time limit within 100 yards of your home.

All parking permits expire on December 31 each year. Each household is entitled to one parking permit at no charge. There is a $5.00 administrative fee for additional parking permits.

Information required:

  • Last name

  • Address

  • License plate number

  • Vehicle make, model, and color

You may request a permit by completing the online form (to the right) or by visiting the Shorewood Hills Police Department at 810 Shorewood Boulevard during office hours (Monday–Thursday 8am–4pm, Friday 8am–12pm). Permits can be mailed to you or picked up at the Police Department.

All information provided will be verified to ensure you qualify for a parking permit. We will contact you if additional information or documentation is needed.

➡️ Payment Information for Additional Permits

  • Permits will not be mailed until payment is received.

  • Payments may be:

    • Mailed to the Police Department

    • Dropped off in the night drop box (please include your name with the payment)

    • Paid in person during office hours by check, cash, or credit card

Parking permits should be displayed in the driver’s side rear window.

A vehicle parked on Village streets for more than 24 hours without being moved is considered street storage and is prohibited.

Signs may be placed along one side of your street so that traffic can move at a normal pace during your event. Please contact the Police Department during regular office hours at least three business days prior to your event..
